About Me...
I have been enjoying horses for over 40 years. I started out as a young, horse crazy girl, whose parents finally caved in and bought a pony. With no formal lessons, I learned how to ride by the seat of my pants. My pony, Suzy, and I would gallop around the fields with the wind in my hair and her mane and explore the woods together. Life didn't get any better.
As a young mother, I wanted my girls to take more formal riding lessons but soon found they didn't experience the same carefree riding of my younger days. I started lessons myself and found a whole new chapter of riding opened up to me. I decided to become an instructor with the goal of helping my students achieve good riding skills and yet at the same time experience the joy of independent riding.
My focus isn't on showing, but rather becoming a kind, knowledgeable horse person.
I became a CHA certified instructor which involved teaching group lessons to eight of my peers in front of two clinic instructors. It was a 40 hour week with two to three lessons taught a day with criticque from my students as well as the instructors.
In 2004, I started my riding lessons business. I own a small property and attract a clientele that enjoys individual attention, a relaxed atmosphere and most important of all-safety first!
